After 40 years of practice, I have made the difficult decision to retire, effective September 17, 2026. Until that date, my hours continue unchanged, in Forest Hills on Tuesdays, and Great Neck on Wednesdays and Thursdays. I remain available to take care of all of my patients as before, and I would love to see everybody one last time!

Please note that  I do have access to the office notes written by me and by my PA, Lisa Brusca at the Bayside office. I do not have the actual charts, or the results of the testing done there over the years. To request a copy of those records, please write to the office at 23-35 Bell Blvd, Bayside NY 11360, and contact the New York Department of Health (Email: opmc@health.ny.gov, Telephone: 1-800-663-6114). Meet Barry J. Bellovin, M.D.

New York Board Certified Cardiologist

Dr. Bellovin is a lifelong New Yorker, born and raised in Canarsie, Brooklyn.  He attended college at Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts, graduating Magna Cum Laude, and Phi Beta Kappa.  He then attended medical school at the University of Pennsylvania, one of the top-ranked medical schools in the nation.

His training continued with an Internship and Residency at Kings County-Downstate Medical Center.  He served an additional year there as Chief Resident, overseeing the training of the other interns and residents.  His cardiology training was done at Bellevue Hospital-New York University Medical Center.  He is now Board Certified in both Cardiovascular Disease as well as Internal Medicine.

He is on staff at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, and a member of the Queens County Medical Society.

BARRY J. BELLOVIN, M.D.

Dr. Bellovin emphasizes preventive cardiology and non-invasive testing. Patients needing a cardiac evaluation are first seen for an initial consultation, and then scheduled for other tests, including nuclear stress tests, as needed. Patients requiring cardiac catheterization or other invasive procedures are referred to specialists at North Shore Hospital.
